Traveling to the Eastern end of I90
Interstate 90 (I-90) is an east–west transcontinental freeway, and the longest Interstate Highway in the United States at 3,020.54 miles (4,861.09 km). Its western terminus is in Seattle, at State Route 519 and its eastern terminus is in Boston, at Route 1A.
We packed up early, getting better at packing up and preparing the RV and jeep to drive. Once you leave Niagara we got back on the I90, We have been driving on the I90 since we left Bass Lake in Indiana. This one’s a long drive at 482km which is about 10 hours. Encountered a new problem, the towing apparatus for the jeep includes an electrical link so when we brake or indicate in the RV, the jeep lights respond accordingly. Now its not working and I have no idea why? So, we just ignored it and drove anyway.
By the time we got to Boston Massachusetts, we traveled 955 miles along the I90
New York state is less populated than I thought, at least along the I90. Endless rolling hills and small towns and mostly forest rather than farming as in Indiana and Ohio. For a long time the 90 runs parallel to the Erie Canal, an amazing feat of engineering to connect the Hudson to the great lakes. It was built back in 1817 And provided one of the impetus for people to move west along with goods and commerce.
